Expect disruption on 21-22 April in the administrative capital La Paz (La Paz department) during protest marches by teachers from rural areas. Members of the CONMERB union will highlight several demands, including for improved working conditions and salary increases accounting for inflation. Participants will gather from 09.00 (local time) on both days outside the CONMERB headquarters and proceed via a route yet to be announced. The event is likely to be well-attended. Any scuffles between demonstrators and the police would pose incidental risks to bystanders.
